Gait analysis

I've been injured for a little while and the physio has recommended that I get my running gait analysed. The only trouble is he charges a small fortune and I can't afford to keep going to him. Has anyone out there had their gait analysed? What's the best (and cheapest) way to get this done?

Can you not get any NHS treatment? I got a referral to a podiatrist through my GP, who sorted me out with orthotic insoles. This seemed to do the trick.

Which area do you live in Coco? Advancer Performance in Peterborough do gait analysis - you should only need it doing once in a while to assess your style. Adv.Per. charge £25 unless you buy shoes from them in which case it is free.
I saw an NHS podiatrist who did my orthotics.
(took longer than Adv.Per would have done, but was a lot cheaper.)

Thanks DG and Glenn. I live in Essex but commute into east London so Runners' Need at Liverpool St is what I'm looking for. Peterborough is prob a bit far. Will give Runners Need a go.

I had mine checked at Runners Need @ Liverpool St.They were very good.They video tape you on the treadmill and on playback explain what he's looking for.I bought a pair of trainers from them and they didn't charge for the time on the treadmill,I have heard that some shops actually charge for this service.
