What are you hoping to achieve next year:
- complete a particular race?
- finish higher in terms of age/group?
- pbs?
- take up a new event/sport?
- stay healthier/injury free
- other....

Elite Ironman, Ultra Trail Runner
Also would like to do a sub 60 minute 10 miler.
Monta Blanc Ultra Trail
To Survive the training for the above
I may do a triathlon for a laugh - maybe windsor
Have to wait for 2005 for my Ironman!
under 1.30 half
marathon of some time or other - maybe under 3.30?
Cycle from bristol to torquay
swim 150 lengths without stopping/drowning
and world domination
Aha got your attention didn't i ?
Seriously improve 10k time
Entering 1st Half-marathon in 15 years so hope to get a pb there maybe Sub 2 hours, maybe more (please)
sub 1:20 half
sub 35 10k
sub 2:15 tri
I'm going to be busy...
Here it is.
I am going to swim more than 15 metres.
And learn to (eeeeek! What am I committing myself to?)
ride a bike.
[jingles away, wibbling at the enormity of the undertaking!]
Do another Ironman distance race (probably LD) - but this time I am going to train for it and hopefully be sub 12 hrs.
Take up orienteering - Looks great fun.
Do an adventure race - nice to do it as a team - but solo otherwise. Eyeing up Adrenalin Rush
Learn to ride a Mountain bike as opposed to this year in the various enduros where I spent more time in the air and hitting the ground than I did on the bike.
Perhaps do the Desert Cup again - particularly if it goes back to Jordan and runs from Wadi Rum to Petra.
Promise myself NOT to do KIMM again - suffered tooooo much over the last 4 years.
I didnt think I had much planned for next year until I wrote this - what an eye opener.
enter my first 1/2 that will be PB
enter my first marathon as i am fed up
waiting to get into London.
I have more chance of running on the moon
or doing 3.15 still never mind allways next year
Merry Christmas
Everyone
To do first triathlon.
To do one more marathon (probably Leeds if they run it)
Havent run a single one this year, apart from marathon (first one) and 15 mile race (ditto) but they dont really count.
YAU = Yukon Arctic Ultra
http://www.english.arcticultra.de/
KIMM = Karrimor International Mountain Marathon

LD - Longest Day Triathlon

But specifically sub-4 in Paris marathon, sub-15 in Quelle Challenge Roth.
Welshman, your goals are quite formidable - and you must have job with lots of holidays.
1. Reccie all sections of Bob Graham round.
2. At least 1 longer fell race.
3. First 2 day mountain marathon - Saunders/Lowe Alpine/KIMM;
Also quite tempted by triathlon, what's a good one to begin with (pref. in the North)?
What's 'adrenalin rush'?
Good luck with all your goals/targets.
Sub 3 marathon
sub hour 10 mile
sub 36 minute 10k
Cycle faster and score one point in a road race!
I think the running goals are more likely if I stay fit.
You could have tried the Salford rowing one bit cold for swimming at this time of year so have the rowing instead.
Sure anyone else could be more helpful. I might do a real triathlon as well
Do HIMUK in sub 5:20
Get my cycling back close to what it used to be 25m TT in 54mins, aiming for 25m TT 57mins this year.
Swim leg of HIMUK in 33-34mins bracket.
And lose a ton of weight.
1st Olympic Distance Tri - probably Salford.
Improve on all sprint times this year (Chirk/Cheshire/Trentham), and maybe even squeeze in a couple of other sprint races.
PBs at 10K, 5K & 1/2M would be nice.
Get up Birdy Brow (Clitheroe Tri) without walking - need to really practice hills on my bike!!
But my 1st goal of 2004 though is getting around the Radcliffe Trail 12M race in February without walking on all the hills (like I did this year).
Jane
Jane
Break 10k and 1/2 marathon pbs (set in the mists of time)
Continue my docimation of the Icelandic triathlon scene - nice to continue my 100% winning streak, but I'll be stuffed if one of my rivals aquires a decent bike and learns how to ride it!
Take part in first ultra - Laugavegur 56km trail race. Get a top ten place
Run the Þórvalsdalkokk again - the hardest but most beautiful race I´ve ever done. 'Only' 26k, but a real toughie. Try to do sub-3 hours.
Improve my swimming - take some lessons
Learn to 360 on my snowboard! (Getting body armour as a Christmas present...)
But, above all, to stay happy and healthy (the healthy bit may not be compatible with the snowboarding tho´....)
london, windsor, salford?
Elite Ironman, Ultra Trail Runner
If I do, it would be an autumn tri, I think. Maybe Derby, or ... dunno, any suggestions?
Er, Chester Tri - watch out as there are two. One is a pool swim and the other is in the Dee.
I'd like to learn to swim enough so that I can do the river swim.
