Just realised that I won't have access to my PC for two weeks over Christmas (don't have one at home) and therefore won't be able to use my running log.
Does anyone know the formula for calculating pace per mile so I can keep manual records during the break?

Why not run free-style over the holidays? - as slow or fast as you feel, and as short or long as you feel?
If you must keep records, record your feelings and not your pace statistics. Just a suggestion...
eg 48:23 for 5.3 miles.. =2903/5.3=548secs = 9.128mins = 9:08 miling
or were you seeking sthg more sophisticated??? You could ask Mr Minks or use Excel to give you a table for various distances/paces and interpolate??
I've started my marathon training schedule so unfortunately running as far as I feel like is no longer an option!
To convert that from a decimal to mins and secs, subtract the minutes part (leaving 0.375), and multiply by 60, giving 4:22 pace. Easy
All my long runs for marathon training were done at a comfortable pace, I did have a measured route but didn't worry about what time I reached particular landmarks etc.,
Happy running.
Venom, thanks for that - am fine with just using a calculator but wasn't sure how to convert the decimal part to minutes. As you say, easy (when you know how!)
