Ha, ha Luke, This race and the Helena Tipping were the only times my cheque book got used in the last 3 years or so (oh, and Lake V!). Thank God for online entry!
Thanks for your support Luke. We are likely to close entries at some point this weekend. Find me if there are any problems with the toilets...I will bring my marigolds, plunger and bleach.
I'm in this year one of my favorite halfs. Fingers crossed I can beat my previous course best 1.18.50 (would of been quicker but got sent the wrong way in 2012!) but after doing Farndon 10K I know it will be well organised this time round.
Cripes! I was going green in the gills reading this thread from the beginning just now having entered last Friday. Thank goodness for International Rescue; my regards to Mr Tracy and sons, Lady Penelope, Parker, Brains and Tin-Tin. This'll be a slow theraputic run for me comming back from injury, could be in excess of 2h20m. Extra pleased the organisation will be F.A.B. this year.
Thanks for the Farndon comments Neil. Lowrez, thank you for supporting the event. We have made some changes that hope to restore the race's reputation. Almost full now so should be great race for all abilities.
great event well organised although the start was 2 minutes late for the off with no countdown...think i was robbed of two minutes according to my watch..! don't know what happened there....
great route, perfect HQ lots of parking, and a lovely fruit loaf to finish...
well done to the organisers ....great event and a nice PB as well...perfect weather as well!!!!
jdojoby Thank you for your positive feedback. With regard to the start I did give a 5 minutes to go shout on the loudhailer but I also noticed a couple of people at the portable toilets (a new introduction to the race) and took the decision to have tiny delay for the sake of not completely spoiling the race for the people queuing. If you think your time is incorrect you can query it via the results website.
I did do a final 30 second countdown and I'm sorry if you did not hear me...I won't be as shy next year. Thank you again for your support.
First time running this event so can't comment on previous problems. Found it to be a great event though, everything seemed to run like clockwork. Great course, well marshalled, with bottled water on the drinks stations, and gnabbed a much sought after PB too. Wouldve liked a tech t, but the fruit loaf was a nice alternative. Will definitely return. Well done Cute Fruits and Wrexham AC.
Thanks steedee. Adding a tech tee would stick a few quid on the entry fee. We managed to retain last year's price and still introduced chip-timing, online entry, additional toilets, bottled water, finishing arch and a motorcycle outrider all of which I think improved the event. I welcome your feedback and will always listen to suggestions. Hope to see you at our future events on www.cutefruitevents.com
Hey definitely wasn't complaining, thought it was great event, and definitely great value, especially in this modern age of the vastly over priced and overly commercialised run events.

Haha. You would need a bucket for the excess judging on last year. Good luck with the prep. See you there.
