26.2 miles for a marathon looks a lot less daunting than 42.2km despite the distance being exactly the same.
9m 10sec/mile pace is needed for sub 4 hour marathon. (5m 40sec/km)
8m 1sec/mile pace is needed for sub 3 hour and 30 minute marathon (4m 58sec/km)
6m 52sec/ mil pace is need for sub 3 hour marathon. (4m 16 sec/km)
