Managed to fit in a 40 min fartlek session on the road (and grass verges) this morning, around 5-5.5 miles.
Felt a bit bloated I guess I went out too soon after breakfast
Why : Usually try mixed session on Saturday , either fartlek, hills or short speed run (2-3 miles flat out)
Last Rest : Yesterday
Last Hard : Thursday
Hosting a wine tasting party tonight so that'll be champagne and beer to warm up, 12 different wines, assorted ports afterwards and M&S convenience snack foods to stave off the hunger.
Will I do the 13mile long run tomorrow?
Hmmmmmmmmmmmm
What: 6 miles intervals (hilly) with club followed by 4 miles tempo on treadmill in 26.5 min
Last Rest: Yesterday & the day before & the day before ...
Last Hard: Tuesday (21 miles)
Now knackered !
Why: Cause I read Cath's thread, and just had to run it off. Just marking time and trying to stay fit until next Sunday, can't afford to rock the boat.
Developed a technique for avoiding comments from youths when I take walking breaks. When I need a walk and there are potential hecklers, I race past them, then stop, breathing harder than is at all necessary, push imaginary buttons on my watch, and mutter about times. It just seems to sow enough doubt in their minds as to whether I am actually suitable material for heckling to keep them quiet till I can get away.
Good luck racers!

Why: 10k tomorrow and having my first easy week since April.
Can't get the hang of these easy weeks. I'll have ended up doing less than 25 miles in total.

Why. to see what lies beyond 13.1
