Here goes then, if I'm to be the first one out of the door this morning.

what: I'm going out on my long run (10 miles)
why: 'cos I do 'em on Saturdays not Sundays (too many things happen in our family on Sundays)
last hard day: mmmmmmmmm, that would be the Robin Hood Marathon (15 Sept), & I've had a rest since then apart from a few 6 miles runs.
last rest day: Friday finished off with G&T, Rioja & 1 can of lager!
    Back later.

What: one hour with a mix of 10 minutes steady, 20 minutes tempo, 10 minutes steady, 10 minutes fartlek and another 10 steady. (i did it this morning)
Why: Couldn't make my mind up what sort of run to do, so opted for a bit of everything. Decided not to run for more than an hour for a while to avoid injury.
    Last hard day: Wednesday
    Last rest: Thursday.

Not doing anything today, just sitting and worrying about what I ate last night.
    Short fast run tomorrow
    Medium run Monday
Long run Wednesday, like you JC too many things going on here too to fit in a long run on Sundays.

Wish I could have a lie in - when do those pesky kids leave home ?

Managed to fit in a 40 min fartlek session on the road (and grass verges) this morning, around 5-5.5 miles.
Felt a bit bloated I guess I went out too soon after breakfast
Why : Usually try mixed session on Saturday , either fartlek, hills or short speed run (2-3 miles flat out)
    Last Rest : Yesterday
    Last Hard : Thursday

Hosting a wine tasting party tonight so that'll be champagne and beer to warm up, 12 different wines, assorted ports afterwards and M&S convenience snack foods to stave off the hunger.

Will I do the 13mile long run tomorrow?
    Hmmmmmmmmmmmm

3 days enforced rest (work!) meant I was feeling fresh.

What: 6 miles intervals (hilly) with club followed by 4 miles tempo on treadmill in 26.5 min
Last Rest: Yesterday & the day before & the day before ...
    Last Hard: Tuesday (21 miles)

    Now knackered !

What:4+miles, variable pace, but mostly slow.
Why: Cause I read Cath's thread, and just had to run it off. Just marking time and trying to stay fit until next Sunday, can't afford to rock the boat.

Developed a technique for avoiding comments from youths when I take walking breaks. When I need a walk and there are potential hecklers, I race past them, then stop, breathing harder than is at all necessary, push imaginary buttons on my watch, and mutter about times. It just seems to sow enough doubt in their minds as to whether I am actually suitable material for heckling to keep them quiet till I can get away.

    Good luck racers!

Why: 10k tomorrow and having my first easy week since April.

Can't get the hang of these easy weeks. I'll have ended up doing less than 25 miles in total.
