Maratona Di Roma

I am trying to enter Maratona Di Roma which seems complicated - anybody had success - my GP refuses to issue medical certificate, not because I am not fit, it is just a blanket rul that they refuse to issue for sporting events.

UKA membership expires end of March so my card is not valid on race day

If its just the medical certificate - just get a rubber stamp made and stamp the form that you can download. Search the forums on here and plenty of people do the same for the French marathons.



Some GPs do it for free. Others charge a fortune.



Without a full body scan - its a bit pointless.

Yes but presumably your UKA membership will be renewed, or have you resigned from your club?

You just write to UKA and they send you a pdf saying (something or other) which you then upload to the website in place of the medical certificate.

Rome is an amazing marathon experience. Would highly recommend your persevering and getting it sorted.
