I did it last year midges featured highly great race though lovely day
Midges not been too bad so far this year but warn and had rain today so suspect will of hatched specially for Saturday. Going up later so will let you know how it is.
Other advice for half - save some energy for last hill and take time to enjoy the views
The speed I go will ensure plenty of time to enjoy the views, midge report would be appreciated
I am in for the marathon, looking at youtube clips, looks like compacted trail so no need for full on trail shoes, are road shoes good enough? Was also considering poles, but doesn't look rocky and steep enough for them? Should be good fun!
Yeah, I was wondering which would be the best shoes, I'm bringing both.
I've been warned about the midges....how many do I need to consume to fuel the run
Is the pre race party on Friday night a pasta party or do we need to plan somewhere for food?
good point regarding pasta for friday? Hopefully someone knows what the details are, doesn't look like too many restaurants in the area!
Alternatives are Dolgellau or Bala I guess.

Half for me, very difficult and challenging, came in at 2.49, a bit slower than I hoped for, great event
