Hi All,
I've recently got myself a treadmill to get me through these winter months - I live high up on Exmoor and winter conditions can sometimes be a little difficult off road!
Does anyone know of a nice simple table which converts mph into mile/min pace? I know I should be able to do this myself but primary school was a long time ago.
Thanks,
Jason

ie
8mph
60/8= 7.5 (.5 * 60= 30)
8mph = 7minutes 30 secs min/mile pace.
I've put the units in so you can see the hours cancel, and the units are correct
so take the reading in mph (e.g. 10) then do 60/10 = 6
your answer is 6 minute miling
I'd managed to work out the nice simple ones but it was a severe case of brain disuse atrophy with the fractions of minutes. And now it all looks so obvious....
Pantman, thanks very much for the link - exactly what I needed.
How many km EXACTLY is there in one mile? I always just say 1.61, but need to know exactly to convert it. Ta
(to the nearest cm!)
6 miles / 5 = 1.2 * 8 = 9.6 km
1 yard = exactly 36 inches.
1 inch = exactly 25.4 mm = 0.0254m.
so 1760 x 36 x 0.0254 = 1.609344km EXACTLY
