Run Britain Event Rankings

On the right hand side of the screen on run britain when looking at an athlete profile there is some event rankings with a percentage for each distance under column heading "in uk".

Does anyone know what this means? Thanks.

For me, for Park Runs, it says that a recent park run was ranked at 4% in UK.  And a marathon was 32% in the UK.

I just assume that it means that that park run time (which was on a fast flat course) was in the top 4% of results for all people, of all ages, genders and all park runs in their database.  And means that my marathons are rubbish in comparison with my shorter distances.

It would be good to hear a confirmed, detailed answer.  I also don't see how runbritainrankings choose which performances go into that list on the right.  It's obviously a selection of my better performances at different distances but it's not obvious exactly how they choose them.

I'm currently trying to find an answer to the question you raised. Have you ever worked out what these 'event rankings' mean ?
