Right , I have a charity challenge thing that involves running the height of Mt Everest in a relay team , this will involve running / walking up a hill of unspecified elevation at least 8 times
Apart from the obvious prep of doing some hilly reps is there anything else that springs to mind ?

Since I have been training on/off with a weighted rucksack my endurance at going up hills is way better when I havent got the rucksack on.
This might not work for everyone mind and you really have to be carefull not to give yourslf knee injuries.
Reckon that will do for a start !
about 2 and a half minutes to get to the top and as steep as I can possibly find. Seriously steep and long is good. My faveourite hill for reps locally is about 400m from the bottom to top - a real killer.
The best ones tend to be off road. The thing about easy access to decent hill reps is it really depends on where you live.
