I have searched this topic on RW, but haven't quite found the answers to my questions - apologies if I haven't looked properly, but I hope someone can advise me.
I've set myself a challenging target for my Half Marathon time this year. To get there I'm following a plan that has Tempo/Race Pace run on Tuesdays. It's a plan I've created based on several I've read (M: Rest, Tu: Tempo, W: Easy/steady, Th: Intervals/speed work, F: Rest, Sa: Easy, Su: LSR).
At the moment, I'm currently running marginally above my planned race pace and tonight's distance was 5 miles at that pace (with w/u & c/d on top of that). In the plan I've got the maximum distance for the Tempo run at 8 miles at just under 3 weeks before the race.
Is 8 miles sufficient distance, or should I adapt the plan to increase the distance more quickly and end up with a longer run but at race pace rather than a tempo a bit faster than race pace? Plus, can I move the final, longest race pace run closer to the actual race?
Any guidance much appreciated!

Thanks for the reply Millsy!
This is the first time I've gone into a half with a target like this and I don't want to mess it up by not doing sufficient speed work - I've been working much more on distance and base building and I'm hoping I won't have to end up relying on adrenaline to see me through.
I'm probably over-thinking it...
Don't think you're over thinking it.
Agree with Millsy's advice. Good luck.
Thank you NorthEnder!
