Flat coke did the trick !! 2 bottles coke - 2 SIS high energy - 4 ham rolls - 4 slices fruit bread - 6 nutrigrains - and 131 miles flew by... Toyed with theidea of jumping off at 112 and having a bit of a jog but then realised still had another 19 to do into a nasty wind so thought better of it..
8 hours 20 mins. First 5 hours religously kept my HR under 68% - then for the rest let it up towards 75% as the wind took it's toll (and I was feeling a bit feisty) - about 7 hrs at the 112 mark - so feeling pretty confident given open roads, no bloody wind (hopefully), 4 months more training and tri bars that can comfortably get the bike done in under 6 hours..
