Yesterday's Sutton Park Run

I was running with the 8:30 minute mile pack. The pacer was excellent, keeping us interested with useful information, facts and figures, also giving us tips on relaxing during the descents.

I began to lose touch with the group on the last lap, a hard rain was falling (Bob Dylan was right) the wind at times was very strong, but I managed to cover the 20. The run helped my resilience and made me resolute in my determination to train for the Edinburgh marathon, which will be my first marathon.

It was a good morning, thanks Runner's World for organising it. Many thanks too for the hardy souls who handed out the drinks, standing in such inclement weather for over three hours.
