Heel lift insole recommendation

Running VLM next month and at the end of my tether. I can't find any shoes that fit.

I ran in zero drop Altras before but after a hiatus following surgery I haven't got long enough to strengthen my calves to be able to run in these shoes again before the marathon.

I've been to four running shops and ordered two pairs online and so far can't find Nike, Saucony, Innov8, NB 2E, Brooks 2E, Asics, On or Under Armour shoes that fit my feet that are wide everywhere but the heel.

Altras seem to be custom made for my feet but as mentioned I can't run a marathon or train in zero drop shoes at the moment. I'm thinking of getting 6mm heel lifts but have never used them.

If anyone has used heel lifts can you recommend a brand and do these things stay in place? Ideally I would get an entire insole with a 6mm drop but I can't find one.

Any advice much appreciated as doing a 20 miler Sunday I'm 8+ year old shoes!
