Sunday 5th November 2017 - Do you ever feel like a plastic bag

Morning.

Lyrics - Do you ever feel like a plastic bag

Well done OH. Hope you enjoyed it and the party afterwards.

Did you have a better night Alehouse?

Are you racing xc today Dustin? Have a good one if so.

What:              hopefully a LSR though I have woken with a very sore throat
Why:               didn't yesterday
Last hard:       sleeping
Last rest:        15/10
If you think you can or you think you can't you're probably right.

    Morning!

Yesterday's lyrics were Morrissey with Spent the Day in Bed. Don't know today's.

Did sleep better, LMH, but that's not saying much. Have managed to find a walk-in clinic six or seven miles away where you don't need to use 111. Off there shortly as still in lots of pain at the back of the head.

    What: no idea

    Why: see above

Progress is rarely a straight line. There are always bumps in the road, but you can make the choice to keep looking ahead.

Oh dear,  ale.  Hope they can help.

That's an impressive T-shirt shirt collection and parkrun number RFJ

Well done yesterday,  OH.  How are the legs today?

Careful with the sore throat,  LMH.  It's the time of sniffles  and colds ... Mine is still not completely gone and peak flow is not 100%

Running experiment is going OK but I'm cautious and won't dive back into silly mileage territory.  TBH,  I much rather run 3-6 miles a couple of times per week pain-free than 70 mile weeks killing off my back again.  Who knows,  I may eventually get back to doing more. One step at a time o:)

What: hopefully another short run but it's raining heavily right now
Why: mini 7 day streak would be nice
Last hard : don't really do hard
    last rest : last Sunday
    lyrics: no

I hope they can help Alehouse.

No need to do hard chicksta, keep it easy and enjoy it.

I must admit I'm not feeling great, I know I'll feel worse if I don't go out so I shall just see how I go and come back if I'm not feeling better after three or four miles. Wasn't expecting to get wet on the morning dog walk though fortunately it's stopped now, much colder than yesterday though and I'm having difficulty warming up.
If you think you can or you think you can't you're probably right.

    Morning

    What: something easy
Why: legs are feeling better (not in pain just sitting like I was after Thursday's core work and short run!).
Last hard: getting my legs to behave
    Lyrics: nope

Well done RFJ what a fantastic achievement!
OH well done for the 33 miles
LMH I also often think about cake...
Ale poor you.  I hope they can sort you out, this sounds awful
SC have a good trip home

Had some amazing fireworks Friday night and yesterday.  Hope they don't go on quite so late tonight though, stopped me getting to sleep!

    Have a lovely day all.

OH good effort. RFJ..in awe of 400 wow. Chicksta it's what works for you that counts. LMH you know what we are all thinking about sore thropats and runs! Ale, hope they find cause and solution. Last full day today and changing venue. It was easier travel and less expensive to add an extra day than fly back today.
What: I'll check out the gym at next place
    Why: No time here
Last hard: Eating meat for the first time in 10 days last night...did not really enjoy
    Last rest: I'm on it
    Lyrics: Nope

It's strictly throat and up SC - nothing on my chest. Enjoy the reminder of your holiday.

Glad to hear your legs are feeling better emzap.

A sore  throat always goes to my chest eventually :(
    Hope yours is different,  LMH.

Sc: why meat when you don't like it?

Rain stopped and I plodded 5k.  39k for the week.  If I'd known I'd have done 6 :D

Leisurely walk up Birks of Aberfeldy in full autumnal foliage today. Now on ferry (hope we won't be needing a plastic bag! ;) )
Ceilidh enjoyed to full last night, no dances sat out. Left after Auld Lang Syne.
Legs a little stiff today but not too limiting.
    Leave for NZ on Wednesday...
    Hope you get sorted, Alehouse.

You have a hectic travel schedule at the moment OH. Hope you have a smooth, safe journey.

Is that seven days in a row you've run chicksta?
If you think you can or you think you can't you're probably right.

Yep - 7 days in a row.  Little and often ;)  Back to drills and strength work next week though.  Stitches come out tomorrow so should be OK to hit the gym again.

    Hi all

hope all with the snivels / coughs etc get rid of them quickly

6.26 and 3.6 efforts today the latter with some strides

Quite often go meat light here, problem for me is cake, crisps and chocolate :-)

    Take care all

Easy every day is good chicksta - it seems to work for me anyway.

A double header of xc sounds like a heavy weekend Dustin.
