Just a quick question in regards to losing any speed I had. I started running 3 years ago and last October I completed my first marathon, (York), followed by Liverpool in May. I am training for York again this October and have no speed in my legs at all.
4 month ago I was still able to do 10 mile in 1:19, (my constant PB was 1:15), now I am lucky to get 1:25. My 5k and 10k times have also took a huge hit. I am still doing the occasional speed session with my club, but longer runs are currently my priority and these are also not going too well, I stopped at mile 19 of a 20 mile run yesterday. Am I just burnt out?
