Second Sunday XC Series Organised by Thames Hare & Hounds

Hi,
Has anyone else come as a newbie to these races and been impressed by the amount of mud and actual presence of proper cross country conditions. i.e. things on the ground to avoid, mud, sustained inclines?
I've done a couple of Surrey 2XU League fixtures and they have felt more like grassland dashes; hardly get muddy at all!
A big shout out to Thames Hare & Hounds as their, facilities, generosity (free hot drinks afterwards) and the general convivial atmosphere their excellent organisation engenders makes the best ever fiver I spent on a race entry!
I can't recommend this gem of a race series highly enough.
