10k in 6 weeks

I'm running a 10k in 6 weeks and, aside from a few other things, as I'm running for a charity I really want to try and get a PB.
I have been going to a running club once a week for about 6 months and we generally do various interval training sessions. My times are improving (min/mile) and I'm getting regular 5kPV times in my own runs.

Last week I did a 10k training run which was the first time I'd run that distance for 3 years (I've done plenty of 4-5 milers).

With 6 weeks to go until the race, what's best to do training wise? I have the running club, but is it best to do as many long runs as possible? Is it best to do lots of 5k with the odd 10k thrown in?

Any advice greatfully received

I'd do a once-a-week over-distance (12-13k) at an easy pace, your club intervals and a couple of other runs of 5-8k.  One of these can be a warm up, 2-3k at target 10k pace, then cool down.  The other should be an easy run.

    Good luck!
