Barefoot to Heel

Hello there, just recently got up to 6 miles continuous running in zero drop running shoes ( Merrell Trail glove)

I was wondering because i will be running in combat boots in the next month or so for.... obvious reasons. Will i have a advantage and perhaps increased endurance ?

I always come accross people having to take long time to transition to Barefoot running and how its so much harder. 

I started off running with barefoot shoes when i began running in august, toook it up a notch in janurary, added speed work of 400m repeats at max effort for 8 reps
Walking recovery..

So what can i expect for running in heeled and cushioned shoes coming from zero drop and zero cushioned trail shoes ?
