Probably been asked a million times but my running partner won't listen to me so I thought I'd post on here.
We're both doing Paris Marathon, she says she's on a RW training plan but it doesn't deviate from plain old running. From a triathlon background I'm a strong believer in getting to the gym - core work, weights, pilates/yoga, and swimming .
So would really appreciate your feedback and thoughts about 'cross training' a hindrance or a benefit and will it improve the running.
Many thanks
Jonathan

In a perfect week (not many of them but I try) swim twice, gym routine twice, TRX once, two sessions on a bike (turbo, spin or in decent weather outside) run three times (I like to do four but three is my mim). However, I am aiming for two sprint tris, as well as a marathon, this year so I might have a different view point.
