Thursday 9th January 2020 Tell the sun to leave the sky

Morning!

Lyrics: Tell the sun to leave the sky...
...ask a baby not to cry

What: shortish run, longish fitness suite

Why: Thursday/work gets in the way

Progress is rarely a straight line. There are always bumps in the road, but you can make the choice to keep looking ahead.

    Morning.

    Yesterday's lyrics - If It's Over - Mariah Carey.

I hope it's just a phase emzap and normal sleep patterns are restored soon. He's not teething is he?

What:         whatever the legs feel like when I get going/physio
    Why:          I want to run
Last hard:  working out what to do for the best
    Last rest:   4/1

    Lyrics - I feel I should but I don't.
If you think you can or you think you can't you're probably right.

    Morning

No please leave the sun where it is Ale..  Are the lyrics for emzap?

Well done on the hills emzap - naughty Lucas.

Well done on the LT run Dustin.  Was that the first one?

Good you are feeling more positive Wabo.

Good luck at the physio LMH.

    What: lunchtime miles
Why: want to get out in the sun
Last hard: deciding whether to run a 10k on Sunday.  Nice flat course but could be congested.  Not having done any real speedwork in the last couple of months I don't think a PB would be likely.  Would be more about pinning on a number for the first time in 2020.  Need to decide by this evening
    Last rest: 06.01.2020

    Lyrics: no

    Morning again!

No the lyrics are not really for Emz, Hazel! Heard on the radio yesterday which led me to choosing them. Bit of a story!

Go for it Hazel - it will be a good way to get a faster session in and if you start well forward you may even surprise yourself.

I have decided (this may not be news to people) that I have difficulty differentiating between lazy and sensible when it comes to deciding what I should be doing.
If you think you can or you think you can't you're probably right.

Thought I'd posted yesterday .... hm, strange.

Hazel: go for it if you fancy a 10k. They are my worst nightmare ;)  they hurt just as bad as a 5k but twice as long :D

Hope the legs settle, Dustin. My hamstring (left) has joined yours on the niggle front. Sigh ... will give it some more welly with the trigger point balls tonight

Maybe Lucas is coming down with something. Hope he sleeps better tonight.

What did the physio say, LMH? And how was today's run?

What: 4 miles on the TM
Why: hamstring issues - didn't dare to go further
Last hard: admitting the niggle is real and not in my head.
    Last rest: 3/1
    Lyrics: no

Not just me then Wabo, thank you. I just read something that was saying how good Tai Chi is for runners especially (not that this applies to you) as we age.

    Hope your legs adjust Dustin.

I have a right hamstring niggle chicksta. I always find mine is worse on the treadie though and that I can generally continue to bimble if I keep it easy and stay on the flat. Hope you can get on top of yours. Physio said little and hurt lots, I'm expecting bruises. Today's run felt better thank you, still slow though.
If you think you can or you think you can't you're probably right.

    Progress, I hope 🙏

This hamstring issue has been with me for years. It never gets really bad (thank god) but it's not right either. Running fast is a no-no. But hey, I excel at being slow  ;)

Forgot to say: yoga day 8 done o:)
