Friday 17th January 2020 - All the lies that you make up

Morning.

Lyrics - All the lies that you make up
What's at the back of your mind?

Anyone racing this weekend?

When I looked yesterday we were forecast a nice morning for running today, now it's saying more of the wet stuff <<sigh>> This may not be a bad thing as I was sort of planning to try a longer run and if it's unpleasant out and I'm paddling I'm less likely to push things too far. Tomorrow morning looks good at the moment but we're probably going to have to take MiL to visit FiL so won't have much time - typical.

What:           something easy
Why:            legs aren't up to anything else yet
Last hard:    not being able to train for London as I'd like
Last rest:     10/1

If you think you can or you think you can't you're probably right.

    morning all
LMH - with you on the training for London thoughts. I've already relegated it to "get round"...
Drenched last night at training: 4 layers, allegedly two were waterproof. Not after 75 minutes solid saoking tehy weren't. Only warmed up when I stripped down to a tee and did a couple of miles afterwards...
    Hammering down again this morning....

What - tempted by Greenwich hills
    Why - Mont Blanc
    Last Rest - 04/01
Last Hard - clinging onto that mojo...

    Peeing down here <<sigh>>

Glad you enjoyed your run with company Wabo. Hope conditions are good for your race.

But your training looks to be going so well Dustin - why the lack of confidence?
If you think you can or you think you can't you're probably right.

Evening - likely to pee it down here soon too. Or some of the white stuff.

What sort of a run did you do in the end LMH?

    Good luck for tomorrow Wabo.

Surprised also Dustin, it is hard to keep up the mojo at all times though.

Hope you managed a dry post work run Ale.

    What: skiing
    Why: long weekend away
Last hard: yesterday's LT intervals, 2 x 15 mins with 2 mins recovery. Pace on target and constant though so pleased.
Last rest: runningwise today, legs are tired after skiing though

    Lyrics: no

Enjoy your long weekend, Hazel. Nice reward after totally nailing those LT intervals. 2min recovery is short!

Dustin: Also surprised about your London comment. I also thought you were building quite well? Enjoy the Greenwich hills.

    Good luck, wabo

Hope you got to run in the dry, ale

Did you manage a run, LMH? Or was it raining all day?

What: a little short of 12 miles with 10 hill reps and about 1000ft of elevation gain
    Why: Two Oceans training
Last hard: my lower back and right glute really hurt towards the end. I think I overdid some yoga poses yesterday. I ran from the gym so I used the foam roller there to loosen things up a bit. Their rollers are quite soft compared to mine though. I think I'll work the area a bit more this evening and will make use of the spiky ball as well.
    Last rest: 3/1
    Lyrics: no

Yesterday's were Chicken Soup, Carole King

    Evening!

Very wet but by the time I ran it was positively spring-like! Easy run but as soon as I tried to add some strides my back didn't want to play, so backed off.

Be careful with the skiing, Hazel! Have a good weekend! And everyone else!

Enjoy your weekend break Hazel. I had an easy run - they all are at the minute.

chicksta - fortunately I don't melt when I get wet so I ran :-) Hope you can get on top of those niggles.

Sorry to hear that your back stopped play Alehouse. Hope it eases quickly.
If you think you can or you think you can't you're probably right.
