Snowdonia Marathon Eryri 2021

Couple of questions if I may...
My first marathon so really looking forward to it, but I have seen many pictures of bloodied people having fallen over on the short off-road section. Is it worth wearing some (not too knobbly) trail shoes for this? I do trail running already but my thoughts are that this is probably too short a stretch for what is primarily a road event to warrant any knobbles...
Secondly - what area is cordoned off / inaccessible via road on the day? I have yet to book a place to stay (I know..) so will probably be camping anyway lol..

You needn't worry about this now...I have sadly received an email from the race organisers this evening confirming that the 2021 edition of the race has been cancelled.

Anyone looking for a place for 2022 Snowdonia? I can transfer mine, if you don't mind covering the standard cost for the place. Crazy, but I can't raise a new post, so I'm trying to find suitable threads to put this on.
