Dentist (dental hygienist discovered/dislodged a filling) Rest of morning doing GP surgery. Lyrics no
Raining today (first for a while)
MRI scan showed L5 disc bulge with evidence of left sided nerve compression so now waiting to see spinal orthopaedic specialist for consideration of surgery.
Sorry to read of the disc issue, OH! Trapped nerve and referred pain? Is there any scope for non-invasive treatment to release the nerve? I'm probably being too simplistic!
Short run d&d. One shin a little sore and needs some work on it! And we had some light drizzle.
Wonder how Chick is going on! Thought of her when watching Germany trying to be knocked out of the Euros!
Progress is rarely a straight line. There are always bumps in the road, but you can make the choice to keep looking ahead.
so last night I did my first in the Elvis league, some of you may recall this series? It was at the Olympic park and I seriously did not want to do it, had a whole day of doing not much (did do tai chi and kettle bells). But I had told Sacha she could have a lift so that was good! I picked her up and immediately she got in the car and went humph, don't want to do this! Made us both laugh, we say the same always. Anyway we had a good mile warm up to get the start and half hour before it started so it was nice to see club faces and say hi, really nice! We had both predicted 30 mins so were in the same pen. It was really well organised. I felt surprisingly good and managed 29.05, really pleased and Sacha did 30.27. Both of us happy - then we walked back to my car to cool down. NO trains, no parking fees, happy days!
possunt quia posse videntur - we can because we know we can
Hiya Wabo - well raced , good work OH - sorry to hear about the diagnosis, hopefully the specialist has a good view on the next steps Ale - hope the shin just needs a bit of care. What - 6 easy over the fields why - keep on moving last rest - 01/06 last hard - Sunday / Tuesday Still a bit tired, a few more easy days. Weekend should be light, actually officiating at Kids track league Sunday, probably a bit rusty with the stopwatch! lyric - don't think so
Sorry for being AWOL. But I took a digital break while we were away in Bavaria and came back to a killer assignment which had to be done by 9am today (a 120 page property purchase agreement translation). Have not been able to catch up yet and just hope everyone is OK.
OH: Ugh, been having those issues since 2013 (L5/S1) - every couple of years I get a magic injection from my neurosurgeon to de-grump it. So far, so good. It's called periradicular injection. Well, I hope it's called that in English Deffo better than the surgery route.
That's the spirit, wabo. Glad you had fun.
Ale: Just as well I'm not into football I read about it his morning. German squad are such minimalists. Boooring ....
In other news: I am now completely vaccinated (2 weeks have passed since my second jab) and I have a digital certificate which means I can now use the gym without having to do tests. Hooray!! Went yesterday for 45 mins on the crosstrainer and 45 mins of weights. I am VERY sore today. But still went out on a reasonably fast-ish walk. Less than two weeks now and I can think about running again.
Well done Wabo! (and Sacha). Glad you enjoyed it and great to break your target time by a good margin.
Take good care of those niggles Ale. Youv'e been rebuilding well.
Good news you have a diagnosis OH. Hope it doesn't have to be surgery.
Taking it easy sounds sensible Dustin.
Welcome back Chicksta. Bit of a tough start back to work. Good news on the certificate and that it can open doors for you.
Had to giggle yesterday again Els.
What: about 7 miles. Warm up then planned 5 x 800m turned into 2.1 miles @ 10k pb pace dash for cover. Seldom seen it rain so hard. Delayed short cool down for car home and finished making pizza, 2 miles whilst that was in the oven
Why: Daily thunderstorms, forecasts are currently useless, might as well just stick a finger out of the window.
Last hard: yesterday's mojo issues drifted into today but that rain soon got me shifting
Comments
Lyrics: yes
Yesterday's were The Joker, Steve Miller Band
A race, Wabo? Tell us more!
What: short run, long stretch
Why: getting a few niggles. Take notice Emz!
Rest of morning doing GP surgery.
