Friday 8th March 2024 I saw a mouse!

Morning!

Lyrics: I saw a mouse!
(Where?)
There on the stair!
(Where on the stair?)
Right there!

Another city that I would like to revisit.

Frustrating day yesterday as consultant didn't phone; however he phoned at 7:40 this morning to say that there were emergencies yesterday.  In short he is referring me to a specialist in London for his considered opinion.
Progress is rarely a straight line. There are always bumps in the road, but you can make the choice to keep looking ahead.

I hope you get that opinion soon, Ale.

    Enjoy the easy miles, Dustin.

A little over 10 miles done. Windy this morning and very cold.

Have a good weekend, all :)

    Morning

Yesterday's lyrics: Barcelona by Freddie Mercury, Montserrat Caballe

You seem to be a VIPatient Ale.  Frustrating though.

Nice easy run then today Dustin.

Good luck with the ultras this weekend Els and emzap.

Ticking off those miles nicely chicksta.  Back to gloves here too yesterday.

Well done for getting the run done before work yesterday Pammie.

Well done on your hills yesterday Wabo.

Step up to 50k from a marathon isn't too bad chamolk.

Another beetroot fan here - ate a large portion of pickled beetroot yesterday - yumm!  (you can keep any brocolli though - yukk!)

What: 5m recovery later - likely outdoors today + mat / hometrainer
Why: move the legs a bit, keeping up the cross training
Last hard: the last 2.5 miles of the progressive were a bit but a good hard.  Haven't done anything much at all this year so this was a bit of a test.  Though without any goal paces.  Managed to get down to 7;3x miling at least.
    Last rest: 25.02.2024

Lyrics: no mice please... (have 2 cats and always possible they will bring one home!)

I have a cross country 2 mile relay tomorrow, the end of the season so I'll go along and see how it goes

Frustrating but sounds like they're referring you to the right people ale.

Chamolk. I've been to an interesting talk on the benefits of cherry juice on endurance exercise. Also I agree, 50km isn't much more than the marathon. There's an 8 hour cut off so hoping that even though I'm still feeling ropey, I'm hoping I can complete it.

Wabo well done for doing it anyway

Els sounds like a tiring day.

Chick I am not enjoying the shock back to the cold!

Just a walk to town and back today with Lucas. We both rested all afternoon as we are definitely not 100%

    Happy Friday all.
