Hiya I use Microsoft Autoroute at work, don't know how much it is to download, but I also double check it with an A-Z (or Ordnance Survey)and car. Pedometers are useful aswell - got mine from Boots.
Do you really want to know? Experience has taught me that accurately measuring a route after the event is always disheartening because its never as far as you hoped. e.g. Its much better to think it was about 20 miles than to find out it was only 18.5!
thank you. I do want to know because I'm training for a 10k. My schedule is based on running for a set amount of time but I want to know how far off / over the distance I am currently going.
map24.com every time!! I swear by it now!! Its great and you can zoom right in etc to get it as accurate as possible. Im quite obsessed with distance at the mo, but like you im training for a 10k so need to know as accurately as poss how far i am running.
