If Not London, Paris

I've failed in the ballot for the last three years but ran last year on a Golden Bond placing. I raised £1,700 but don't think I can raise that kind of money again this year if I fail in the ballot again. So, failing London, has anybody out there ran the Paris Marathon, and if so, how does it compare to FLM? I'm sure I read somewhere that no energy drinks are available on the route. Is this true?

If I don't run London I'll run the Shakespeare one at the end of April. On the bright side that gives you another two weeks of training.
