Sounds just about right to me. Theres a huge arguement for food high and low with GI index... Some say that you should be eating foods with high suger content, but careful not to eat too much as you can easily go over board which has the opposite effect.
Personally for 10k races thats what i have. Althougth the breakfast earlier and the banana/smoothie closer to the race. And maybe a small amount of something with high suger content to get me going...
ok thats great, thanks people!! I'm used to running in the evenings you see, when i have a whole day's food inside me, and i dont want to get it wrong on sunday!!
Your breccy sounds good, but remember to give it time to digest. For me that's about an hour and a half, to be on the safe side (nothing worse than breakfast repeating on you while you're running - ergh!)
