If you want hills you've picked the right race it is HILLY!!!! I did for the first time last year I really enjoyed it. The scenery is fantastic. It is hard work but there's a really great atmosphere. I'm not able to do it this year but I will definitely do it again. Good luck
Last time I did it when we got to the top of the first hill we disappeared in the clouds. It is very hilly with about three significant climbs, just don't look up.
I am one of the helpers at this race. We all from Buxton A.C. wish everyone good luck and hope you enjoy the day. I believe the weather is going to be quite warm so take care. Any feedback would be welcome(post here or e-mail me).
I did this on Saturday and thoroughly enjoyed myself. I thought it was a well organised event. I particularly liked the rubber mats over the cattle grids. Thanks must go to Buxton Mountain Rescue for monitoring over the route. Thanks
On a personal level I was well pleased to come in at 2:00:01 on such a course as this. With a second or two to get over start line I reckon i can call it 2hrs !
Thanks to UKRESULTSMAN - I had been looking for these since Monday - I had never run the race before and although I had trained I was not prepared for the hills - my calf muscles have been tight since after the race!
Hope people don't mind me mentioning on here but am putting on a race for my daughters special school at meerbrook in staffordshire very close to buxton over 15k on september 19th on a testing course if anyone would like to come and support us you will be made very welcome more info e-mail meerbrook15@aol.com

It takes me 50 mins from junc 29 on M1 at chesterfield so what 1/2 hour for you to nip down to there - not to bad.
I think I will give it a go
