With the onset of winter I'm back in the gym doing more cross training. I've heard there are 'competitions' for distance covered in all three events. Anyone know what these times are
ie 20 minutes run, 25 mins cycle, 10 mins row.
Anyone fancy a competition. Though I'm not good I need targets

They hold compeitions @ three distances and are held several times a year!
Ok, maybe we should move to the beginners section and let BK join the more elite. Unless he likes winning that is ;-)
We could start a thread there, EP, of 10 mins each and then work up over the weeks.
I expect with the onslaught of winter we are not the only ones returning/joining the Gym occasionally.
Thanks BK. See you there. Didn't mean to stand on your toes, I thought you would find our times a bit 'slouchy'. See you when you post next.
I am looking forward to this. A nice kick up the...... after a week off due to a bug.
Not possible in my gym because its only got two running machines and they're sometimes busy WW. I'm sure a gap in between won't do much harm
WW will be in a different class to me but I think its more a case of challenging ourselves rahter than each other. Sharing the experience probably helps to motivate.
Keswick1uk, you didn't step on any toes. See you on the other thread
500metreswim, 10k bike and 5 k run
Took me an hour, and i was last
I won a prize for sheer effort
I hate the stationary cycle, and really, really hate the rowing machine, but I'll have a go at the beginner version tomorrow.
Actually found my diary
it was 63 minutes
I used to go to the gym and do all three. Still do occasionally-went this Monday.
Normal session for me:
rowing machine 3000M @ level 10 in 15mins
Bike: 5miles in about 30 mins-don't really like the stationary bike much.
running machine-3 miles in 19 mins or 2 miles in 13 mins.
What distances are you looking at doing?
perhaps a target of 1500 row, 10 or 5 k bike then 5k run which is similar to a novice tri?
keep up the effort !
