Thinking bout getting a pair of gutties for easy fell/mountail/trail running. I like the look of the flyroc 310's from inov-8. Any of you lot tried these? Or any other suggestions gratefully appreciated.
Got a pair of New Balance (can't remember the code bit). They are blue with orange laces, almost the same as Walsh's. Been abolutley brilliant for me. Nice low profile sole, mega grip and they drain water quickly! Oh and made in the UK!
A scottish term for trainers dear. Originally referred only to the nasty black plimsoles from school, but now encompasses everything. Tally van is the ice cream van for reference. You got me into lingo mode with the earlier conversation Jj...
Here come the Inov-8 posse! Yes, I've had a pair of Terroc's for 3-4months and they really suit me, but as I have also been running in the original Mudroc's for 15m I knew they would.
2 Trenches I've been using walsh pb's now for about 4 years, no blisters ever(not even on the BGR)low profile superb grip and still light when wet. Also not bad for short distances on the road. Is that a RM badge you're using? BLD
Yup again. Hoping to get fit enough in time, but I'm having trouble with the resistance training. Well I have a year and 3/4 minimum, so hopefully should sort that out. You ex or serving by any chance?
Ex Para Regt(1977 to 1991). All this running lark is to keep me sane when working in an office. Endurance training and upper body work is what you need for that fine body of men. Worked with them lots of times and have lots of respect, except when up against them and then it's everyman for himself. It's a good goal but involves lots of hard work. BLD
I'm working in an office now, which is exactly why I want to join - insanity abounds. I'm training for an IM at the moment, so working mainly on endurance, but finding the pressups/pullups trouble. Luckily the situps arent a problem. Can get out about 20 pressups before I'm out of it and can now do a full pull up, from fully extended arms. A vast improvement on a few months back. Thanks for the advice BLD mate, I appreciate it from someone who's been there. Dave
