yeah, I'm not sure about the idea of a half, haven't plodded any further than 10.5km to date, and not sure I want to!! think I'll try not to think any further ahead than the 10k in Feb for now and see how I go, if that goes ok I can think about the July half and still do the 10k to the MCG in May
you could still do the half in March - but you might have the take the attitude of "just getting round" and focus on doing the June one in the kind of form you might prefer??
if the Martch half would be your first, it would still be a PB no matter how long it takes you, and if you'll likely meet a few forummites at that event, personally I'd go for it just for the social side (I miss that being here, knowing I'll probably never meet any of you)
yeah, I know what you're saying, but after the traumas of the last few months I am deliberately not putting pressure on myself
the March half is a small local one, so I can leave it to the day to enter. I'm not aiming for it, but if my training is going well and I feel like it, I'll do it
by June I should be training up to 14 miles comfortably - that was one of my favourite plods when I was aiming for a mara

I just keep pointing back at them and saying "well yes, what do you mean"
because I believe
he who doesn't plod cannot tell me how to or how far to plod
so there!!
wow, that'll be good - finishing in the MCG
I'm hoping to do a half in June, there is one in March, but I doubt if I'll be ready for that
