Can anyone recommend any booklets that describe how the DPA applies to sports Clubs? I've looked on the official DPA site but that just details the whole of the act in its full legal nicety and is a bit more than I want to know (or am capable of understanding )

I'm sure that the Information Commissioner has a plain English leaflet on this - should be able to order it thru the website.

If U go to the website under About the Commissioner their is a link (or phone number ) for you to post questions to the DPA.
I have used this in a professional capacity and found them really helpfull friendly people.
Failing that we would need to understand what information is collected, why , the sports clubs status (i.e Charity or non charity, personal, PLC, inc ETC ETC ...
