Nicola, you might be better looking for a local running club. Most have members of all abilities and should be able to find partners for you.

You don't know what sort of weirdos you'll get responding to your invitation here. I'm sure most aren't weirdos but you have no way of knowing.

Nicola, as suggested by Tom, how about trying Ranelagh Running Club which is based in Richmond. The website is www.ranelaghharriers.com they cater for all abilities and have certainly helped me improve!
