The first 3.5 miles are more or less flat. Then there is one long hill for about a mile. After a short flat bit it is downhill for a mile or so and the last 3.5 are more or less the reverse of the first. Thus all the hard work comes in the first half. I can't remember off the top of my head how big the hill is - it goes up in stages - but I guess is a couple of hundred feet in total. The end is a bit frustrating as you get to within 100m of the finish and then have to run past it and do another 1/2 mile.
Its on minor roads and then on tracks and farm lanes. Near the Hedgehog Pub if you know the area at all. The hills are not that bad (and I don't particularly like hills!). Steady climbs rather that steep inclines. Worth doing!

Like the sound of the Hedgehog, what's it like and does it do good grub? Might be able to talk Mrs DJ into coming along if it does!
