    I had heard that you'd been to Mamma Mia today .... image

    Did the earth move for you this morning then?

  • Options

    Yep.  Not just earth, old oil tins, paint tins, several dozen empty beer cans......

    We so love the bloke who left 36 years of crap buried in a pile at the bottom of the garden for us to shift.  Not........

    Colin Firth was yum.  And he'd have missed us if we hadn't shown up.  We won't mention the singing though.image

  • Options
    Colin just doesn't do it for me.... so he's all yours image
  • Options

    ..... and some Greek waiter bloke's, but we'll gloss swiftly over that

    How's Pink world then?

  • Options
    Evening all !

    I bring you some ( slightly soggy after today's rain ) Wexford strawberries!

    I have been working ( and dragging the family all over the place with me ) away for a while, and had no internet access

    I need to go on a diet

    But I can start that tomorrow!

    What's the latest scandal ??

    ( and hello !! )
  • Options

    Not bad thanks.  Got all my domestics caught up on today then went into town and got all the stuff on my list (and a half price running vest and a couple of new pairs of jimjams).  Bit of a headache so I don't think I'll be long before I head for bed.

    Was hearing you've got a hot date with Johnny Blaze tomorrow image who then tried to explain to me, unsuccessfully, where Draycote was.  Thank gawd for multimap is all I can say!

    JARS imageimageimage We've missed you.

    <grabs strawberries>

    No big scandal but the pub has made it over the 100K post mark image.  ST is still on holiday.  Loon is still slightly broken.

    Helloooo! Or should I say "Merhaba" image

    Can't believe I missed the 100k image

    <puts another load of washing on while remaining ST family members slumber on>

    Brilliant holiday! Got back at 2 this morning image

  • Options

    Sweetie image  Welcome Home image We missed you image

    Did you have a good time?  Did you bring a fridge magnet back for the pub fridge?

    I'm glad you're back as I'm quite exhausted minding the pub on my own.  Of course, I did a brilliant job so don't listen to those who tell you I was frequently absent or otherwise inattentive. image

  • Options

    hiya all, welcome back st hope you had a great holiday

     i am ashamed to say i have been asleep all day so far :<  I am tempted to go for a run as well but me thinks it's probably not a good idea.

    Woohoo, ST's back imageimageimage

    Glad you had a fab holiday Hon, let's see the photos.  Loon, hang in there, your running mojo will be so reved up by the time you finish the tablets that you'll give Paula a run for her money,

    TP, you did a fab job, now sit back and relax and be waited on after all that overtime

    The pub was out in force this morning making mincemeat of the Fetchies.   Okay, well maybe "keeping up with" might be a better description, but JB and I did well under 9 minute miling for just short of 10 miles this morning, so hopefully have scared the pants off the lot of them.  Or not.  Anyway, lots of beers all round, methinks  Also it did help that every time I started to flag somebody yelled "Colin Firth" and I got a whole new burst of energy.image

    woo hooo well done hash

    if you'd had him or peirce behind you singing i'm sure that wuld have done wonders for your speed LOL

    Hello, pint of batemans please.

  • Options

    <squelches in>

    Can somebody wring me out please?  15 miles plodded through 3 thunder storms interspersed with blazing sunshine image It was so heavy at one point that the pavements were ankle deep and cars were sending tsunamis as they drove past.  Stopped 3 times to wring my socks out!

    <pours quick pint of Batemans for landlord>

    <squelches out>

    You get extra points for running in weather like that TP

    puts on blazing fire ( in the fireplace ) and pulls up TP's chair

    I know what you mean about the washing ST ...hope you had a good time!

    What is the date of Luton ? ( 7th Dec ?? )

    I had better start making travel arrangements

  • Options

    <plonks down on chair near fire>

    Thanks JARS, now if you could pour me a glass of rose then I'd be nearly mended.

    Luton is indeed on 7th Dec.  I booked my ticket last week image I was just thinking about it today during my plod as we had torrential rain last year ... well the first leg people did and ..... that was me image.  You're in the same team as Geves and Prince Seigfried - we've shared out the boys - don't know if anyone has actually entered yet ... one of you will need to.  I've done ours and I think MikeFrog has done the deed for the other team.

    <snuggles down and waits for rehydration>

    < as if by magic a large, perfectly chilled glass of Rose appeared in TP's hand>

    << George Clooney then appears to carry out gentle foot massage >>

    Right

    I will see what can be booked

    :0)

    < please note that above text did not acknowledge reference to torrential rain- which WILL NOT be affecting this years run >

    < fixes weather gods with steely glare >

    If you e-mail me then I'll give you e-mail addresses for Geves & PS so you can sort out between you who's doing the entry etc.

    I'm staying at the travelodge most people stayed in last year.  Not near the race (you would not want to stay anywhere near there) but it was 5 mins walk from the pub we all socialised on the Sat and after the race.  Pretty basic (think I was one of the few who found hot water in their taps) but staying with everyone else was good.

    Right a bit George, if you don't mind.  Do you do achey legs too?

    <climbs on couch and prepares to be soothed and stroked>

    I has been out image

    But now I is back.

  • Options

    And am I glad to see you image Been working all hours in here .... never seemed to have been away from the place .... constantly on call image

    Did you have a good time in Turkey?

  • Options

    It was brilliant, thanks. Very hot, people superbly friendly, did lots (sea kayaking, river canoeing, snorkelling, scuba diving, gorge walking to name but a few) and chilled out lots as well.

    <brings out bottles of Raki and boxes of Turkish Delight>

    And I brought these back for you all - fancy a Raki?

  • Options
    Hi ya ST.

    I think I may have over done it today image . I have a feeling that tomorrow is going to be painful.

    <Gobbles Turkish Delight>
  • Options

    <holds out glass>

    I'll try the raki but will pass on the Turkish Delight image but oddly enough I love the sweetie shop chocolate version.

    I thought we might be able to save the 100K for your return but it went on Friday night..... to Loon image with a stray comment on bb image but at least it was a regular image

    Turkey sounds fab but a bit too much water and heights in your list there for my liking.
