Asics 2070

I have just purchased a pair of size 11 of these fron On The Run only to find that they are size 46.5 which in most other shoes is 11.5. This was not evident until after my first run when I checked the label inside the shoe. As you will appreciate it is not easy to tell when first trying them on. They are now obviously too big - what a waste of money! Why is that shoe comapnies should vary so much? I take a Nike 11 an Adida 11.5 and now it seems an asics 10.5. I'm going to return to Adidas as they are a slimmer fit especially around the ankle. I would love to buy New Balance as they are made in England but they are just too baggy. Comments please!

It certainly is a problem, especially if like me you rely on mail order because of lack of (none) local running shops. I take a 4 ordinary shoe, but like you my trainers vary from a 4 to a 6, depending on make.
