    Best stick to normal running gear then! I think that will be part of the fun, being surrounded by everyone in fancy dress.

    I did the Santa Run last December, where there were over 1000 runners dressed as Santa in all sorts of costumes (Elvis as Santa etc.). That was quite good fun!
