Just joined a running club after not running properly for about 2 years. I can run for about 30 minutes (covering about 5K) OK without stopping but I am finding that my recovery time is about 3 days- is this normal ? Also finding that my quads are quite sore for a few days afterwards but rest of my legs feel fine - do I need new shoes or maybe I just run weird ?! Any suggestions very welcome !!!

So that the next time you run cushion is back to 100%.3 days seems a bit long for recovery are you running too fast in that 30 mins?
