pain on inside of ankle
After a week's walking holiday I have a new pain which is bad enough to stop me running. It's on the inside of my left ankle, a sensation almost like tearing just above and also behind the ankle bone. Comes on after walking for a few mins, sometimes even at rest.
I've had achilles problems in the same ankle and wear orthotics. But this pain seems to be distinct from the achilles. Only clue is that I've recently bought a new pair of walking boots that may have triggered this off. With less than 2 weeks to go to Edinburgh mara I'm resting and icing like mad, but also trying to figure out what it is. No chance of a physio appointment in next two weeks because of work travel, so hoping for DIY treatment. Doesn't seem to be covered on the RW website. Anyone else had anything similar and what helped?
