I am looking to find someone to train with, in the Horncastle area. Another forumite sometimes meets up with me, but he lives 25 miles away in Sleaford.
You can always send me an email, if you don't want to post it on here.
Thanks, Dangly Spice. Most of the comments have suggested it is a hilly course and I was going to disagree, but you've done it for me. I've done it twice and enjoy it. Mind you, last year I collapsed at 3 miles with a torn calf muscle. I need to finish this year to exorcise those demons.
It's my second best ever time (my PB is at Sleaford with is even flatter).
It's a friendly race with good parking area, showers, plenty of people to cheer you in at the end. However, there are some long stretches which seem to go on for ever. For a town so out of the way, it gets good support.
As I've done it before, the organisers send me entry forms (plus ones for their 10K in September).
Skidpan. The course is indeed gently undulating, although there is a gentle long incline at 2 miles. It only uses a small part of the 10K course, and that bit is run in the opposite way.
I think it will be fairly fast though, and would hope for close to my PB.
A 2 hour time will certainly not see you at the back of the finishers, that's for sure!
The original and best Woodhall Spa thread. Me and Clive are going to have to get out the old scalp suntan cream, or else we are going to be badly burnt baldys.
I sold my soul to a man at the crossroads in exchange for good weather and PB's. He has fixed the weather but I am still waiting for him to sort out my times. Come to think of it he promised me hair, weight loss, the winning lottery numbers and eternal youth; maybe I shoulndn't have trusted him but he looked honest enough. Like the guy I bought my car from.

New to the area? Where is that?

Just entered on line and looking forward to the run. Did it last year in the sweltering heat. It is a great run well organised and well supported.
Fs at least we will know where the miles marks are (not like Lincoln). Will e mail after FLM maybe train round the course.
That would be great. Would be good to do some long runs with you again. Good luck at FLM.

Oh, yes. Accurate mile markers!
Pleasantly undulating, would be closer to the truth.
FS - is the course like the 10k course ie. gently undulating?

Good luck to all of you who do the Woodhall on 1st June.
See you all there!
I thought you'd forgotten how to log on btw. Where have you been hiding?
If you are, I'll try and be there as well just to say hello.

Meeting up with the other striders near the start line.
Had arranged to meet keep smiling too, if she doesn't have second thoughts about running tommorow.
