When I stop running for more than a few days, my food consumption (which is pretty substantial anyway) goes ballistic until I'm back to my "normal" non-running weight.
Saw my reflection in a shop window while I was running today. I'm definitely chunky rather than scrawny. Piling the weights on the BodyPump bar seems to be having the desired effect.
All too easy to justify it when you're running as well Mandy. I get through platefuls of it after a Sunday run. Probably not too bad with tomato-ey type sacues, but I like the creamy ones too :-(
Iain I was entered for the 26.2 RRC 10K but will have to give that a miss. I'm also entered for the Hillingdon 5. I'm hoping to be OK for that - but I'll have to see.
After that it'll be whatever is close by. I'd like to do the Watford 10K in May and St Albans 1/2 in June but I'm not sure if I'll be fit enough for the 1/2!
Has the strongest man died? Not that Paddy fella from Erdington, I hope. Him and me are practically neighbours.
BodyPump just helped me grow some little bulgy bits of muscle before, but now I'm doing two sessions a week and actively stacking on the weights I'm noticing a big difference. Definitely chunky! The annoying thing is that my husband, who doesn't pump iron and has no visible upper body muscles, can do chin-ups, and I can't.
Hippo, I only have pretend butter. The real stuff all went into the biscuits that the kids took to school today. No tomato salsa either. Will ketchup do?
26.2 RRC 10k is just down the road from me - I thought you were more the other side of London or something, not down south? I might still od it - don't really need a 10k but most of the club are doing it so I either do it or do a long run on my own :-(
Never thought of that - there are some ready prepared meals with pasta, chicken and cheese which are nice but I'm sure the cheese ups the calorie content :-(
Iain I'm north London but until a few weeks ago lived in Wimbledon so have lots of friends down there. I was going to go down for the weekend and see everyone
