still a beginner

Hello again.
just need some uplifting encouragement. I'm fighting an uphill battle at the moment with my running. I have had 4 weeks off with no running (recovering from an op) and have just started again. I'm still very much enjoying it, but where I used to be able to do 3 miles in under 30 minutes, I now take a good 40 minutes. I hope I will be back in fighting form soon. I am having a rest day today and doing 2 miles tomorrow and 4 miles on Sunday. The most I have run is 5 miles.

    Hello.
    I've just started runnig after a long lay off due to Knee op, it is hard to start with but it does get better. I used to run 3 miles in 23 minutes, now I am taking 28 minutes. I enjoying my running so much that it is worth the pain to start with. So keep at it, but don't do to much to quick just take your time and enjoy every minute.

    I did 2 miles today and I can feel that I am slowly returning to normal.
