Hi HannahsmomUK well have completed 3 so far, Belvoir, Steyning and the Barrow challenge last Saturday, all went well considering the weather!! Steyning was the toughest so far and by far my slowest! Have got Sussex on the !st April, Bungay on 15th and Shakespear on 29th April so a busy month ahead! Hows it going for you??
Hi Sue, its not me thats doing 12 in 12 but my bf but so far he has done Gloucester and Duchy and his next one is Shakespeare so it would be good to meet up before the race if you want, will be nice to meet another 12 in 12'er
i'm just a mere baby doing one marathon this year lol which is London, although if that goes well i may consider an autumn one, as i've throroughly enjoyed my training ( well almost, wasnt keen on the snow and ice weather lol )
arrgh didnt realise there was a HM in Stafford on Sunday grr, would love to have entered that, why do i not find out about these things til its too late booooooo
I am doing 18miles on Sat and doing a recovery run on the sunday in the form of St.Giles Hospice 5K in Lichfield which i've entered
How long will it take you to do the HM Mick, just debating whether we could drive over there after, seeing as we're in Lichfield, would be great to see you again
ooh hope your sore tendons get better soon Spen,
is anyone else apart from Sue and Ulen doing the shakespeare marathon?
Well it's 6 down for me and madly 7 to go as I have decided to do 2 in October. Legs, knees etc fine but the only injury problems I have had is a very painful verrucca and tendonitis in my elbow after carrying it at a running angle for more hours than it is ususally used to.
The mental problem now is that after about 5 miles you get the feeling it is either going to be enjoyable as you feel easy or that you know its going to hurt as you don't seem to be in the zone.
The best time I have done so far was at Halstead and I turned up at the start feeling laclustre and stiff. How you feel at the start seems to have little baring on how you feel once you get going!!
darn it i would have been at the finsh then, probably even shouted you in as i shouted all the marathon runners I had finished the half in 3 hours 37 according to my garmin ( 3hours 39 on the official listings today )
what other races are u doing this year, i'm determined to meet you at one of them, i've just signed up for the Staffs Marathon, its midweek and its along the canal, out and backs so i'm hoping not to many hills!!!
think for a few people on here Portsmouth is going to be the final one Dazza, well done on completing your 12 though, awesome challenge x
just read your blog, well done, I was spectating at Gloucester, and did London lol, there are a few marathons that you have done that I hadnt even heard of so an interesting read

Seven down, a few more planned
Bump 8 down. 2 weeks to next. Over the edge yesterday, was a tough one only 2 weeks after my last one.
I still cant believe i didnt see you yesterday Spen71, what time did you do for it do you know?
5 hours and a bit of change. I used it as training for my 50 mile ultra so walked all hills I thought were too steep to run.
darn it i would have been at the finsh then, probably even shouted you in as i shouted all the marathon runners I had finished the half in 3 hours 37 according to my garmin ( 3hours 39 on the official listings today )

July - Illmington Cotswolds marathon
Aug - North Downs Way 50 miles
Sept - Birmingham Canal Canter

Oct - Marine Corp Marathon Washington DC
Ah found the one you are on about. Part of the Enigma lot. I will not be back from states so not will be able to do them.
yeah its midweek, kids are at school so its doable for me lol, when is the Bham Canal canter, how long is that a marathon or an ultra?
and when is the illmington cotswold marathon?
7 down, 5 to go.
Great one on Saturday, small field but very friendly.
