Warning Warning Warning After a short break of. 5 years I have decided to resume my role as head of warnings, watch this space for several critical warnings over this festive period. You have been warned! Love Mark
After another short break (2 years) and a hip replacement, I've decided that I must warn you all that running is actually dangerous and bad for you, I mean really bad for you!, particularly if you're a serious runner like me who likes to keep his bits correctly positioned when going for short 10k's and the like.
The original damage to my health and well being caused by those Vision shoes finally caught up with me recently and I had to undergo surgery to repair the damage, I will carry the scars forever, physical as well as mental!
Anyway, I went out for a short 30k jog this week wearing a brand new pair of Asda George xlarge trunks (underpants) and after an hour or so I felt excruciating pain from my right groin. Having adjusted myself (as you do) I notice that I had blood on my hand. It turned out that the elastic used to hold the trunk legs in position had worn a deep groove in my right groin.
Needles to say, I have written to Mr George at Asda and told him that I'm taking legal advice and may sue, I'm sure that you'll all agree with me that these trunks should carry a Warning ' not to be used for serious running' Non-serious running presumably will be ok.
Mark are you sure it was the underpants causing the groove from the outside.......
It might have been the new hip.the doctor might have sold you the wrong size or style......maybe its a mans one when you had been used to a wider womans one for a number of years.........#
running with an incorrectly fitted replacement hip is much more likely to cause the gash with blood that those underpants you mention
