This is a pleasant jaunt along the well-heeled suburban streets of Frimley on the outward leg, and along the canal on the return leg. With a lovely little hill to climb in the last mile.
I'm in!
Last time I did this race there was a pie wagon at the finish line. An inspired touch, I hope it's there again this year.

Looks like you could be running on your own Muttley....... just think of those pies
I do believe that this green leafy and rather posh neck of the woods is home territory to yourself and Mr K, LWJ ... will I see you at the start line present and correct?
Not sure Muttley. I fell over the Sunday before Christmas whilst out running. Bruised my ribs and sprained my wrist. I did manage a little run about 4 days ago, but i suffered for it after. Not sure what Mr K is up to, although i know he'll do this one if he hasn't already booked anything that day.
I'm going! I really enjoyed it two years ago (other than the steps!!!) so am looking forward to it.
Sorry to hear that, LWJ. I always find it advisable to walk back from the pub.
....
Hmmm. Snow warning for Friday. I don't like running in snow and ice. Let's hope it clears in time for the race.
I hope those who did it had a good time. I decided against - packed ice on the roads round here and I wasn't going to risk cycling to the local station and then from North Camp to Lakeside.
I was fortunate to get a lift, otherwise I might have chickened out as I don't like driving in snow and ice. But it was a real winter wonderland and well worth doing. I was 5th lady too, so that was a worthwhile jaunt.
