6 miles for me tonight included 2.7 @ tempo pace 7:26. These were done on a running track, the first time I've been on one in 30 odd years and must say quiet enjoyed it
swittle - "dodgy porker", best injury quote of the week!
6 miles easy for me this morning. Bit colder than has been for the last week but nice and fresh. Def getting a bit lighter in the mornings - got back at 7:30 and could sense it trying to brighten!
I did my first track session in years last night. 1 mile warm-up then 5 x 800m race pace with 200m recovery between each set. My legs feel it today. Deffo a rest day for me.
A run of 2 x 23 minutes early doors, with ice on windscreens and the thinnest of crescent moons. My pal's porker is no better, so just 4 minutes before she had to walk home. 5.2 miles in all.
Swittle, a porker means something a bit different to we Londoners
Me- 5.5 miles club run, at the fastest pace I've managed in a few months. Now, down to Weight Watchers on Friday to try to start shedding this extra stone, and hopefully I can start to regain some speed
Swittle, what on earth is a "dodgy porker" round your way. There are many dodgy porkers round here but they definitely have absolutely nothing to do with running
5.5 mile steady, first run after last Sunday's Central lancs HM. Felt surprisingly ok.
Club run on a pleasantly mild and clear evening. Hyde Park, Green Park, St James Park for 11.5k at 5m/km. Hello to the club member who thinks they have matched my online identity to the real me!
Swittle - please clarify "dodgy porker" and how a woman can have one!
You've given the game away now baldy - they'll know it's def you now.
6 miles this morning with middle 4 at HM pace. Supposed to be 7:19 - my pacings getting better as I did 7:18 / 7:19 / 7:16 / 7:22 with hardly looking at Mr Garmin.
A GA is a general aeorbic session. In the P & D marathon program it is any run between 6 and 10 miles inclusive other than recovery or tempo runs. Just an ordinary run done at a moderate but not slow pace.
'Porker' = hamstring [pork/ham], a term I met in my rugby playing days. Thus, women as well as men have them. 'Pulling a porker' means straining a hamstring muscle
0645 Chilly but still, no frost, and a mix of streets, trail & beach. 5 miles.
Happy days, SB - I played at school, then took it up again in my 30s. That led to me starting to run, after a knee injury drained my confidence for playing contact sports.
7am A damp, cold morning but fine once I got going. My pal managed 10 mins and I headed off to the prom to complete a useful 5.2 miles.
6.2 miles. Bit disappointing, I wanted to do 8-9 really but got sabotaged by a) my first Fat Fighters -- I mean Weight Watchers meeting, which boringly went on for over an hour. And b) the unexpected announcement late in the day yesterday that we're going to be Ofsted-ed on Monday. So need to ensure my paperwork's in order and am really tight on time until then
18 mile long run today. Found it hard after last night's 11 mile MLR. Was scheduled just to do a five mile recovery today with the 18 miler tomorrow but is my anniversary on Sunday so decided to switch.

6m steady, 1.5 with the fur. Slight sleet to start with but a very nice run indeed.
Swittle - Rugby Union was my sport growing up, played as a lock forward for my local town. I never heard that expression once! I like it though

Keep it going, folks!
very boggy, soggy and foggy 19 miles along the canal trails, great fun.
3.2 mile what-was-supposed-to-be-a-recovery-run
most definitely not a recovery run; took the dog who insisted on speeding along. gave me the chance to use my new foam roller though!
11 mile medium long run tonight.
Some good training going on.
