Running Routes From Manchester Airport

Hi - I will be in Manchester on business for a few weeks at end of month and will be staying in a Airport hotel. Any-one know any safe routes to get a few evening runs in?

Don't know area at all and don't fancy ending up on Motorway or being run over by the 18:40 from Alicante image

    Work at man airport and you are in luck. Some great runs. Good loop on the airport ring road that will take you under the runway and through styal. Plenty of out and back runs to wilmslow you could make or some good runs in woodland if you fancy that (styal woods or carrs). Would steer clear of whythenshawe if you are looking at maps - its not the best of areas.
