Now im getting a collection, so far 4 charity vests and 4 medals for London and New York marathon im thinking of maybe displaying them, just wondered how those of you that have done the same have done it.
Tech tops usually given to my mum for the gym , cotton ones for sleeping in or as dusters... I saw a company that would make cushion covers out of old running tops.
I hang up my medals for the year (from the kitchen door) and put them away on 1st jan and start again. All the old ones are in a cupboard. However, myrace number and medal from my first marathon last year are still up for every visitor to comment on
Not quite the same thing but I've got a t-shirt from the 4th plinth "One and Other" project and I never like to wear it in case it looks like I'm fishing for comments... my only medal is tucked away in my watch drawer.
Medals in a carrier bag in a cupboard somewhere..(except a few on a shelf in my bedroom some category wins which are few and far between......even couple of county medals ..when the fast ones were obviously on holiday or injured )
I keep some tee shirts..marathon finishers ones and some others that "mean something' although not sure what screwed up in a drawer under the bed...and some decent technical teeshirts that you may get ..rarely
I was wearing one at a fitness class 2 weeks ago and didn't even realise what it was till the intstructor pointed out it was about time I treated myself to some new kit...it was 2009 !!!!..Snowdonia marathon
i have a 2ft chrome towel holder pole thing from ikea on the wall of my gym room at home, i put my bibs in clip frames too, 9 fit in an A0 frame perfectly, theymake for a colourful and (i think) cool looking wall decoration in a workout room,
Thinking about the moose, it is starting to get a bit loaded up with medals so I need to go and bag myself another one.
I started taking it seriously as a medal display recently. It used to wear an 80's Limal wig that I came home with one night, and that seemed to belittle the medals.
Haha I love the way we all treasure our hard earned medals and tees. Mine too are in my sock drawer in a carrier. Loving the moose/muttley vibe...I have a chrome gazelle thingy that may find itself bedecked in the near future!

Corner of a dusty bookshelf. I've gone for the 'casual' look.

T-shirts become either:
To paint in
To run in
To sleep in
To give to the charity shop
My medals get hung round a candlestick on the mantlepiece for a while then put away in a tin.
My t-shirts get worn around the house at weekends when they are new and worn while I'm colouring my hair when they're old.

Medals go on a shelf to collect dust. T- Shirts get put in the gardening / painting pile.

I don't get charity tees so I run most of my races in the same top.

Medals in a drawer. Vests in back of cupboard. T-shirts sleep/decorate/if nice occasionally wear under jumper etc.
Nell McAndrew?
Apparently if you're quick enough you can sell them on Ebay and get enough to cover your entry and accommodation!
Medals in the sock drawer (sock and medal drawer I suppose), t-shirts often become bike rags.
I may make an exception when I receive my UK and England Marathon Championships (VLM '13) winning team medals. They can stay out.
I have numbers from significant races (not just marathons) stuck on my fridge.
I stick those medals that I keep (which is very few) in a drawer.
Medals are hung around a Mooses' head in the wifes study (dead, stuffed, and fake) .. Moose is also stuffed and not real.

Heh, I like the stuffed moose ... I'll see you and raise you with a stuffed dog
is that muttley? that's genious.
mine are on my shelf until i box them. which i just did, so they're all in a box
No wonder you'll never catch the pigeon Muttley - that's some extra weight you are carrying. . Love it.
We have a rack for our medals that Mr JJ2 made. Basically 6 double coat hooks on a piece of wood, one each of us & 1 each for the 4 kids.
A talking point on the kitchen wall.
